Research on Careers in Technology

The potential career path that interested me the most in the technology field is being a software developer because they are the backbone to all technology programs out there. The median salary for a software developer is $95,510 a year.
A job that I become aware of that I did not know of before is a Computer System Analyst. What they do is work with a business and analyse their use of technology. Then they must know there computer systems to install it for the company and so it can make the business run smooth.
The job that I found most promising for the next ten years is again a software developer because there is a huge demand for their skill. Companies that have their business in an application or game need software developers to fix glitches or bugs and other software problems that need fixing.
The preparation that I will need to know to become a Software Developer in the future are programming with C++ and knowing basic algorithms. My plan to land a job as a software developer is to Major in computer science and attend a 4 year college. Then I will start Job hunting in that field and hopefully work with video games.

mblock and Arduino

Programming my Robot

My role in the Robot Group Project was programming. In my eyes programming was the most difficult task I had to overcome this school year. Programming with the mblock was fairly easy because we are familiar to the language of Scratch. However, programming with c++ was like learning a new language. The easiest part in programming was understanding the commands you write to what it makes the robot do. The hardest part in programming was learning how to use the new code in the programs for the robot. I really enjoyed the process of programming but the best part was the end result, when everything ran like it should. I felt a sense of relief. For the robot I made an infrared receiver code where basically you control the robot with an infrared controller. I also made an obstacle-avoidance code where there are ultrasonic sensors on the robot pick up objects near and either turns left or right to avoid the obstacles.

Scratch Platform Jumper

Angel Gurrola
Period 2

I made the Platform game Ninja themed because I have been intrigued about ninjas since I was a little boy. Making the game was full of difficult challenges like going through platforms From the bottom and continuously changing the script to fit all the backdrops and sprites. I was surprised at the end result of the game because it runs smoothly and gives the feeling of a Ninja's life.

The most difficult part in making the game was designing the Backdrop.
The easiest part in making the game was setting the sprites to move in certain
ways from point a to b.

Scratch

By: Angel Gurrola
My first impression programming with Scratch was that it was going to be a fun task
to work on. The easiest part to understand was how everything was connected to each
other. The greatest challenge for me was putting everything in order, the organization
of all the scripts. I wanted to make the space ship crash back on the moon but the steps
got confusing with other scripts, so I dropped it and continued with what I was doing.
I would like to learn how to work with motion to make my project way better.

Hello my name is Angel Raymundo Gurrola  I am one of four. I have one brother and two sisters. I live with both of my parents and I was born in the year 2000. I am in 10th grade and attending Elizabeth Learning Center. I live in the city of Cudahy, Ca in a 2 bedroom house.

My favorite subject in school is science. When I grow up I want to have a job somewhere in the science field because i'm fascinated and enjoy learning and working with it. Technology also interests me and I would like to know how to use in my advantage and make my life easier.

I entertain myself by playing videos games, watching YouTube videos, watching anime, reading manga, and surfing the web. One day I would like to go Japan and explore it's beautiful land and culture. My Favorite T.V. show is called Naruto, it's a Japanese show but i watch it with English sub.
